Westcott Community Center
BUILDING COMMUNITY ONE BRICK AT A TIME

Euclid Recreation Club

The Westcott Community Center (WCC), located at 826 Euclid Ave. on the east side of Syracuse, provides dances, featuring live bands, that target persons with developmental disabilities, including autism, who live in their own homes (with parents or care-givers), as well as those living in group homes and those living independently in the community.

These dances, held  6 times per year*, take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the first Saturday evening of the month.  They offer persons with disabilities, as well as the general public, the opportunity to listen & dance to live music and to recreate and socialize with old and new friends in an inclusive setting.  The dances also serve as respite opportunities for families of participants.

The WCC dances are one of only two such ongoing dances in Onondaga County.

*After 10+ years of continuing programming, we lost our funding last year for these dances due to NY State not having enough money.  The six dances we currently run are only funded by your donations.  We used to offer 10 dances per year.

Please send in a check to keep these dances going.  Make checks out to the Westcott Community Center and write ERC in the memo section of the check.  Mail to WCC, 826 Euclid Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210
