Wednesdays from 12:45-1:30pm.
Moving MORE Towards Better Balance is a new balance class offered at
Westcott Community Center. This advanced balance class is a progression
from the Tuesday/Thursday Moving Towards Better Balance and will include
obstacle courses, walking exercise, and more standing posture and balance
training exercises. If you are ready for a challenge and want to move MORE
towards better balance, come join us on Wednesdays from 12:45-1:30pm. It is
advised that you attend the first level class that is offered on Tuesdays
and Thursdays prior to attending the advanced level class.

Are you interested in how good your balance really is? Do you want to know
how much these balance classes are actually helping you improve your
balance? Meet with Anne Bowdoin for a balance evaluation and find out! The
tests that she is using to evaluate balance are tests that evaluate multiple
dimensions of balance. The results of each item are scored on a scale and
the total of all items equals an overall balance score for each individual
that can be used to compare to norms, measure improvement over time, and to
provide information to Anne as to what components each person needs
improvement on so that she can plan the classes accordingly. Anybody
interested can meet with me for 1/2 hour for an evaluation. She will then
score it and useful provide feedback with in 2 days of the test.
