My name is Clarissa Taylor and I am a Park Organizer. I help organize events in Loguen Park for the surrounding Community, attend Community Action meetings such as 'the Friends for Loguen Park Association' and 'Tomorrows Neighborhood Today'. My current projects include a Jermain Wesley Loguen mural on the Richmond Carpet Building, the Syracuse Eastside Farmers Market on Lexington Ave. and the Westcott Cultural Fair Performing Arts and the Teen Committees.

My name is Jenifer Kolanage and I am a Career Coordinator for the Community Art and Education Project sponsored by the Westcott Community Center.  I have a Super Sitters Program where teenagers (girls and boys) can take the Babysitter Course to become Certified Babysitters in their Community.   I am also a Facilitator for the 'Tomorrows Neighborhood Today meetings and a member of the Fundraising Committee for the Westcott Cultural Fair.

Hello! My name is Joy E. C. Manlove and I am the Arts and Culture Organizer and Coordinator of the Summer Arts Series. I have worked for the Westcott Community Center as a VISTA for two going on three years.  I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota, St.Johns and St. Bens University in Minnesota as well. I hope to concentrate my efforts to bring Artists and children from the Neighborhood together in several different venues to cross promote the importance of Art in Education as well as the ongoing need for emerging Artists to be cultivated and encouraged.

My name is Jeromy Antle.  I have worked with the Westcott Community Center'for eight months. My job is as an Arts & Culture Organizer with the Community Art and Education Program. I graduated with a BFA in Drawing and Painting in May of 2006 from Northern Michigan University.  Bringing more availability in the arts is the primary goal of my position. Syracuse, NY has a small but thriving art scene and I hope to bring the Westcott Community more firmly into the arts.

My name is Joan Centra. I graduated from Syracuse University and completed my first year with VISTA in El Paso, Texas. I work with all the VISTAs and help with program coordination and outreach.

My name is Abdulla Alnouri. I am a recent graduate of SUNY New Paltz where I studied political science and sociology. This is my first year as an AmeriCorps VISTA and I work with Interfaith Works' Community Wide Dialogue to End Racism. I grew up here in Syracuse on the southwest side and see working with AmeriCorps as my chance to give back to the community that helped me out so much. My goal at CWD is to organize discussion groups amongst teenagers that focus on racism. If you want to get a hold of me for any reason you can reach me at aalnouri@interfaithworkscny.org.
